Our Programs

Infants and Toddlers

Infants and Toddlers: In the first two years, infants and toddlers learn about the world through their senses, exploring their environment and developing close bonds with special adults. Our role as caregivers in the classroom is to facilitate the development of curious children, help them do things for themselves, and foster trust in adults. We respect each child as an individual, providing freedom to develop physical, social, and emotional skills at their own pace. Through responsive caregiving, we support the individual needs and schedules of our Infants.

Twos

Two-year-olds are exploring their ability to communicate, coordinate their movements, and assert their independence. They're moving from the total dependence of babyhood to the more independent, mobile world of preschoolers. Our teachers provide twos with manageable challenges and mastery experiences in a relaxing environment which allows for the frequent mood changes, varying interests and capabilities of the child. Our teachers are gentle, patient, and calm, providing developmentally appropriate child-led, play-centered activities in a learning environment where children feel successful and important.

Preschool

Children ages three to five are growing rapidly in every area of development: socially, physically, intellectually, and emotionally. Child-led, developmentally appropriate materials and routines offer each child many opportunities for challenge and success. Whether they choose to be little artists, acrobats, doctors, dinosaurs, or dancers, children can express themselves while gaining confidence in a social learning atmosphere. It is important that children have freedom to make choices in an environment specifically designed to meet their growing needs.

Adventure Kids Summer Program

We offer an amazing summer program for six to twelve-year-olds. Our low ratio of 1 teacher to every 12 children allows for strong relationships to be formed. Each week children swim, visit a library or museum, and explore parks across the valley. Other highlights of the summer include Jane’s Garden, Hill Aerospace Museum, Ogden Dinosaur Park, Treehouse Museum, Aquarium, Trampoline Park, This is the Place, Museum of Natural Curiosity, Ice Skating, and Movie Theater Day. When they are not on a field trip, Adventure Kids have a lot of fun creating, pretending, building, singing, playing games, reading, and journaling at FBCDC.
